At In Good Company Counselling, we believe healing happens in relationship — with ourselves, each other, and the communities we’re part of. Based in Vancouver, BC, our team of Registered Clinical Counsellors offers inclusive, trauma-informed, and identity-affirming care for individuals, couples, families, and youth across British Columbia.

As a queer-led, neurodiversity-affirming practice, we’re guided by connection, collaboration, and authenticity. Our counsellors integrate evidence-based approaches with genuine human care, creating space for reflection, healing, and lasting growth.

  • We provide individual, couples, family, and youth counselling, along with hormone readiness assessments and low-cost counselling options. Sessions are available in person at our Vancouver office or online anywhere in British Columbia.

  • Yes. We offer secure virtual sessions for individuals, couples, and families across BC. Many clients appreciate the flexibility and comfort of online therapy while maintaining the same quality of connection and care. Virtual sessions take place over secure video conferencing via JaneApp.

  • Fees vary depending on the service and clinician. Standard sessions range from $160–$190 for 50 minutes, and we offer low-cost counselling with practicum clinicians for increased accessibility. All fees are discussed before booking. (Link to JaneApp)

  • Many extended health plans in BC reimburse sessions with a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC). We’ll provide detailed receipts for you to submit to your provider. Since coverage differs by plan, it’s best to confirm directly with your insurer.

  • Yes. All sessions follow the ethical and privacy standards set by the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) as well as the statutory law of British Columbia and Canada. We’ll review confidentiality and its few exceptions together in your first session so you know exactly what to expect.

  • You can book a free 15-minute phone consultation, fill out our “Match With a Therapist” form, or reach out with any questions. If you’re unsure where to begin, our team can help you find the right fit and walk you through next steps.   • Your first session is a space to share what’s been going on and what you hope to get from therapy. Together, you and your counsellor will discuss your goals, explore next steps, and establish a pace that feels supportive and collaborative.

  • Start with a consultation or complete our matching form to be paired with a counsellor who aligns with your goals, schedule, and preferences.   • It depends on your goals and circumstances. Some people come for a few sessions to work through a specific concern, while others find value in ongoing support. Your counsellor will collaborate with you to determine what feels right.

  • Yes. We specialize in affirming therapy for 2SLGBTQIA+, gender-diverse, and non-monogamous clients. Our team values diversity and provides a space that is respectful, curious, and inclusive of all identities and relationship structures.

  • Yes. We offer counselling for youth and teens ages 12 and up, helping them navigate identity, emotions, and relationships in a supportive, developmentally appropriate way. Sessions can include or exclude caregiver involvement, depending on need. (Link to services/youth-teen-counselling)
