My Approach

Therapy is a space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported as you navigate life's complexities. My commitment is to honour your dignity, integrity, and values, offering a compassionate space where you can explore your needs with thoughtful attention to self-care.

I take an eclectic and pragmatic approach to my work. Eclectic because I integrate various theoretical perspectives to meet your unique needs, and pragmatic because I focus on helping you regain control, identify meaningful actions, and put them into practice.

My work is rooted in an inclusive, respectful, and welcoming space for people of all ages, sexual orientations, gender identities, ethnicities, socioeconomic backgrounds, abilities, and religious beliefs. You deserve to be seen and valued for who you are.

We are more than the challenges and problems we face. At times, our past experiences influence your actions today. Your behaviors, beliefs, relationships, and choices might seem difficult to understand and yet, with support, you can find meaning and self understanding that can offer freedom and hope. I believe counselling can be an integral support for people looking for healing, hope, and change.

In our work together, we will uncover the strengths and resources that may have been overshadowed by life’s difficulties. My hope is that, with time, you will feel more grounded in your sense of self, more confident in your choices, and more at peace with your journey. Change is possible, and you don’t have to navigate it alone.

  • I am a layered individual with a variety of identities that shape the person I am. A Latinx queer, middle-aged, and educated male I am grateful for the rich experiences that I have been through in my life. Growing up in Mexico and emigrating to Canada at an early age, I enjoy instructing yoga and fitness in my spare time. I am passionate about volunteering in my community and have practiced meditation and mindfulness for many years. Least of all, I surround myself with good friends while pursuing self-acceptance, balance, and contentment.
